Dubai slahes visa processing time from 30 days to 5 days with less documents
With the UAE government’s new “Work Bundle” platform, the processing time to complete all required paperwork to obtain work permits and resident visas has been shortened from thirty days to five
This program’s first phase was launched in Dubai and will progressively be extended to the other Emirates.
By providing a single platform rather than five, the “Work Bundle” also streamlines procedures from eight services to a single, unified platform, reduces the number of required steps from 15 to five, requiring only five documents, and cuts down on the number of visits from seven to two, all of which have a positive impact on the customer experience and the time it takes to complete the transaction.,also reduced from 30 working days to 5 working days
A consolidated platform for employment services, including renewal, cancellation, medical examination, and fingerprinting, is one of the integrated services offered by the Work Bundle platform. The platform is scheduled to extend to multiple other government digital platforms and the ‘Work in UAE’ website, after being initially accessible on the ‘Invest in Dubai’ website and mobile app.
The Work Bundle platform, according to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President, Prime Minister, and ruler of Dubai, will “facilitate, simplify, and shorten the procedures for residency and work (permits) in the country.”
“62 million working days that were previously used for the renewal of residency and employment contracts inside government frameworks are expected to be recovered via the new Work Bundle platform. It is anticipated that this project will reduce 25 million procedures annually, which will result in significant savings for the public and private sectors, he said.
All federal agency processes, such as those of the Federal Authority, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization, are integrated into the Work Bundle.
